Weddings
PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to host weddings for the remaining months of 2024 but will consider weddings for 2025. Please contact the church for 2025 date inquiries.
Christ Church Lavender Bay is a beautiful church building with gardens and a harbour view. The building can seat up to 180 in the fixed seats, with another 70 removable chairs, if necessary.
Because the wedding takes place in a building, which belongs to the people of Christ Church, we encourage you to visit or join the Sunday 10am or 5pm service.
Once you’ve been in touch with our parish administrator and reviewed our terms, our minister would like to meet with you to discuss your plans. After that and a date is secured, we’ll move forward and will ask for a $200 non-refundable deposit.
These can be paid by cash, cheque or direct credit to “Christ Church Lavender Bay”. Please include surname and wedding date on payment:

Christ Church was completed in 1872 and, because of its age, the sandstone requires continuous attention. This is what most of your donation goes towards.

What to expect
We’d love to meet you at Christ Church Lavender Bay.
The church is easy to find. While many of our members live around the lower North Shore, others travel from a variety of suburbs to join us for services and events. It's an easy walk from North Sydney or Milsons Point train stations or up from a ferry ride to MacMahon's Point or Milsons Point wharfs.
You can also drive across the bridge and find lots of parking options around the church.Whichever service you attend, we hope you’ll experience genuine hospitality, a friend’s welcome, and an encouraging word about how to live this life we’ve been given.
