Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus in history?

He is the man whom dictators and tyrants fear, even when he was a baby.

He is the one around whom movements, communities, hospitals, charities and schools are built.

His was the first story off the printing press, and the reason for great operas, oratorios, cantatas, trios and duets.

He is the leader thousands willingly followed as they were burnt at the stake, became bait for Gladiators, or were executed on crosses, gallows, and guillotines.
Because of their faith in him, many today are still persecuted.

Yet his life on earth is the inspiration for great works of art and poetry, novels and architecture, stained glass windows, paintings and plays.

He is the motivation for countless scientists, engineers and doctors to find new ways to help and heal people.

His teachings form the foundations of democracy, social work, care for the poor and acts of justice.

The person and teachings of Jesus Christ influence almost every corner of western culture.
