Great Father, we thank you for the leadership of Bishop Mark Calder in the Bathurt Diocese and pray for him and his wife Susan in their retirement. We pray now for your guidance in forward pathways for this extensive rural Diocese.

Praise you, Lord, that we can offer mission support to James and Brittany Daymond, serving with BCA in Cobar. We pray for growth of faith among students at Cobar High School, for increased faith in younger men being discipled by James at the church in Cobar, and for safety for James as he travels within the North West area. Please be with the Daymonds and guide them in their future plans.

We pray for your wisdom and guidance in all plans to expand Anglicare services. Please guide CEO Simon Miller and all Board members, especially Cath Wynn Jones. We praise and thank you for opportunities presented.

We thank you, Father, that we can offer mission support to Anglicare in its many ministries. We pray for those serving in Food and Financial  Assistance; for counsellors offering free support under Anglicare’s Emotional Wellbeing Program; we pray for all Anglicare chaplains, for Mike Clarke in Cobham Youth Justice Centre; and for Andrew Ford and his team in the Foster Circle.

Father, thank you that we can offer mission support to Lachlan and Candy Grice serving in Taiwan with CMS; we pray for your blessing on them and their sons Beaumont and Jonathan Lael.

We thank you that Lachlan was able to attend a Pastor’s Retreat and understand more of the Church Association. Thank you that Candy is reading the Bible with a team mate; and that Beau is enjoying his Toddler Bible. We pray for your Holy Spirit to guide all the people they meet; and that Lachlan and Candy will be refreshed by a rest week this month.

Father, grant us to be filled with the knowledge of your will. Please strengthen and lead us as we reach out to our communities with your words of truth and love.

Thank you, Lord, that we can give mission support to Margaret Powell for her work in south-west Sydney. Lord, may your Holy Spirit continue to work in the lives of women Margaret meets. We pray for Jana in her spiritual journey; and for Naomi and Ayesha. Please grant them growing understanding of your greatness. We pray for the harvest community as they spread the knowledge of Jesus through Evangelism and New Churches. And we ask that Margaret is refreshed and encouraged by her long service leave.

Father, thank you that we can offer mission support to Lachlan and Candy Grice serving in Taiwan with CMS; we pray for your blessing on them and their sons Beaumont and Jonathan Lael. We thank you that during the recent Taiwanese summer, their church ran a board game summer camp for children in July, and also taught the children Christian songs and stories. Please pray for their church’s ongoing outreach to kids and families, especially a new group for middle-schoolers.

We thank you, Lord, that we can support Margaret Powell reaching out to people in south-west Sydney. We thank you for her time spent with Naomi exploring the Scriptures, discovering what God is like and who Jesus is. We pray for continued meetings with Ayesha, that your Holy Spirit will lead her and her family to know that Jesus is Lord and Saviour. Please pray too for Khadeja, that family affiliations will not stop her from following Jesus Christ.

Lord, thank you that Explore (the Bible) has provided Bible-based training for pastors in many African nations. These pastors had no previous Bible teaching themselves. We pray that a new way to fund the work will be found to ensure it continues. Ask especially for Isaac, his wife Emily, and Moses (in Malawi and Zambia) as they continue to lead this work despite financial restrictions.

Lord, we thank you that we can provide support to Explore Mission, based at George Whitefield College in Cape Town, South Africa. Thank you for the vision for Explore to provide strong Gospel-based training for ministers who will lead the many growing churches across Africa.

Father, we pray for James Daymond as, this month, he takes up his new role as Archdeacon of Bathurst North-West, being responsible for Gospel leadership in nine more parishes across a wide area of inland New South Wales.

Praise you, Lord, that James has been engaged in one-on-one discipleship with younger men in the church, and we pray that these men will grow in faith. Thank you that the Hope 25 series has been running in Cobar; and for the New to Cobar initiatives introducing newcomers to local churches.

Father, thank you for the 6pm services shared with members of The Bridge Church. Thank you for growing fellowship. Please guide us as we work together to reach out to our community with your Gospel of love.

Thank you, Lord, that we can offer mission support to Anglicare as it supports those in need through the Food and Financial Assistance program, the Mobile Community Pantry offering low-cost groceries, through counselling, and the Foster Circle supporting families at risk. Father, we thank you for all who join our Central Prayer gatherings on special Wednesdays through the year. We seek your guidance as we pray together, relying not on ourselves, but on you. Help us to witness to you in our lives, words and actions. Help us to build a strong and faithful church that honours you and spreads your Gospel of salvation.

Almighty, Eternal God, we thank you for our four Gospels, coming down to us faithfully for 2,000 years. Thank you for this eye-witness testimony of Jesus: his life, teaching, his death for our salvation, his conquest of death. Father, help us in words and actions to scatter seeds of faith that, by your Holy Spirit, may grow in many hearts.

Please keep safe all missionaries and all those teaching the Christian faith.

Lord, we thank you that we can provide support to Explore Mission, based at George Whitefield College in Cape Town, South Africa. Thank you for the vision for Explore to provide strong Gospel-based training for ministers who would lead growing churches across Africa. At this time, Explore is facing difficulties that limit its activities to South Africa alone.
