Lord, thank you that Explore (the Bible) has provided Bible-based training for pastors in many African nations. These pastors had no previous Bible teaching themselves. We pray that a new way to fund the work will be found to ensure it continues. Ask especially for Isaac, his wife Emily, and Moses (in Malawi and Zambia) as they continue to lead this work despite financial restrictions.

Lord, we thank you that we can provide support to Explore Mission, based at George Whitefield College in Cape Town, South Africa. Thank you for the vision for Explore to provide strong Gospel-based training for ministers who will lead the many growing churches across Africa.

Father, we pray for James Daymond as, this month, he takes up his new role as Archdeacon of Bathurst North-West, being responsible for Gospel leadership in nine more parishes across a wide area of inland New South Wales.

Praise you, Lord, that James has been engaged in one-on-one discipleship with younger men in the church, and we pray that these men will grow in faith. Thank you, Lord, that we can offer mission support to Anglicare as it supports those in need through the Food and Financial Assistance program, the Mobile Community Pantry offering low-cost groceries, through counselling, and the Foster Circle supporting families at risk. Thank you, Lord, that we can offer mission support to Lachlan and Candy Grice serving with CMS in Taiwan, with their children Beau and Jonathan. Please guide them as they join other Christians in reaching out to unbelieving neighbours. We pray for Lachlan’s progress in language learning and that he can share the Gospel with his language teacher.

Thank you, Lord, that we can offer mission support to Margaret Powell working in south-west Sydney. Margaret asks prayer that her friend Sally and husband Sam would come to faith. Loving Father, we pray for Explore’s work in the remote Nuba Mountains, where funding is urgently needed. Please also grant protection, perseverance and spiritual growth for facilitators there, as they face significant hardship.

Thank God for progress in Kenya, where five new study groups have begun, 2,000 study modules have been distributed and 16 students graduated. In Uganda, we thank God for steady progress of the first FOCUS group and the formation of five new groups. We pray that the graduation in Nairobi will inspire more leaders to join Explore.
