Loving Father, we pray for Explore’s work in the remote Nuba Mountains, where funding is urgently needed. Please also grant protection, perseverance and spiritual growth for facilitators there, as they face significant hardship.
TUES 26 | Explore progress in Africa
Thank God for progress in Kenya, where five new study groups have begun, 2,000 study modules have been distributed and 16 students graduated. In Uganda, we thank God for steady progress of the first FOCUS group and the formation of five new groups. We pray that the graduation in Nairobi will inspire more leaders to join Explore.

Lord, we thank you that we can offer mission support to Explore Mission, based at George Whitefield College in Cape Town. Please bless Explore Executive Dr Mawonga Celesi, who prays for ‘hearts that respond, hands that serve, and faith that builds’ as Explore provides strong Gospel-based training for ministers who lead growing churches across Africa.

They thank you for praise and song at Easter services in churches in Taiwan; and progress in language learning – Lachlan did well in a recent exam; they ask our prayers for an international student who is working hard as a waitress; and that people in Taiwan would stop worshipping idols and believe in the one true God.

Father, thank you for our regular Family Services on the first Sunday of the month. Thank you, especially, for children who attend, and we pray that many more parents and grandparents will be drawn to bring children with them to worship. Please guide us in planning family-friendly services and inviting families to share the joy of worship with us.

Lord, please bless all Scripture teachers in their vital work of teaching your Gospel and bringing growth and spiritual knowledge to our youngest citizens. Help us to be a faithful, God-centred community.
TUES 24 | Students starting school, and students returning
Heavenly Father, we pray for all children returning to school – for the young attending for the first time, those in middle years, those starting secondary school, or beginning university. We pray for teachers and good relationships in schools, for your wisdom for school principals. May these be fruitful years of growth.
MON 23 | Explore Mission in Africa
Lord, we thank you that we can offer mission support to Explore Mission in Africa, based at George Whitefield College in Cape Town. Thank you that Explore has grown so fruitfully around south, central and eastern Africa and continues to grow. We pray for Explore’s Director, Dr Mawonga Celesi, and for the Regional Coordinators, Pastor Isaac, Pastor Misheck and Pastor Simon, as they prepare to expand Explore’s reach in their regions. We pray that Explore students will persevere in their studies and that you, Lord, will grant them wisdom and growing understanding.
SUN 22 | BCA Bush Church Aid
Heavenly Father, we thank you that we can offer mission support to James and Brittany Daymond serving you with BCA in Cobar, and thank you for the recent opportunity to send personal greetings to the Daymonds through Leisa and Ian Davidson. We pray you will encourage James and keep him safe as he visits people and properties in the New England North-West. We pray for good responses to Scripture classes in Cobar High School. Lord, please bless the BCA initiative to support Nungalinya College, and Scott and Eilidh Thomson, serving BCA in Augusta & Margaret River in WA.
SAT 21 | Lavender Bay Preschool
Please thank our Father that at Lavender Bay Preschool, in our church grounds, Laura and her team are teaching the Christian faith to the small children in their care. We pray for blessing for them all as the new term begins.
TUES 12 | Welcoming new comers
Father, thank you for new comers to our church. Help us to be caring and welcoming to them, to show your great love for us through kindness and caring for all visitors and new comers.
WED 13 | Bible Study Groups and Home Groups
We thank you, Father, for our Bible Study groups, our Home Groups, Mens Groups, special times of prayer and Coffee times. Please be with members as they seek to know you better and love you more.
THURS 14 | Our Diocese, our Archbishop and Bishop
Please ask for God’s continued blessing and guidance for our Archbishop, Kanishka Raffel, our Bishop, Chris Edwards, and all who serve in our Diocese. Please pray for God to guide the 25 new Anglican Deacons beginning their ministry among us.
FRI 15 | The Truth of the Gospel
Almighty, Eternal God, we thank you for our four Gospels, coming down to us through times and ages. Thank you for this eye-witness testimony of Jesus: his life, teaching, his death for our salvation, his conquest of death. Help us, Lord, joyfully to hold fast to these eternal truths.
SAT 16 | Margaret Powell in south-west Sydney
Thank you, Lord, that we can offer mission support to Margaret Powell and her team in south-west Sydney. She asks prayer that Amal will want to come to church and find out about Jesus; that Saha will find time to meet Margaret despite her busy life; and for lasting peace in the Middle East.
SUN 17 | Lachlan and Candy Grice serving with CMS
Thank you, Lord, that we can offer mission support to Lachlan and Candy Grice serving with CMS in Taiwan. They thank you for praise and song at Easter services in churches in Taiwan; and progress in language learning – Lachlan did well in a recent exam; they ask our prayers for an international student who is working hard as a waitress; and that people in Taiwan would stop worshipping idols and believe in the one true God.

TUES 19 | Anglicare; serving God in our communities
We thank you, Father, that we can offer mission support to Anglicare. We thank you for the Foster Circle, providing foster care for children at risk; we thank you for Food and Financial Assistance helping those in financial need; and for affordable professional relationship counselling for people seeking help with life challenges. Please bless all who serve as leaders, as staff members and volunteers for Anglicare.
WED 20 | Our Central Prayer meetings
Eternal Father, please guide us as we gather in prayer for our church, seeking your wisdom to direct our thoughts and actions. Please be with us as we pray for those we support in mission. We seek your guidance in all we do and thank you with glad hearts for your love for us.
THURS 21 | Thanks for Evensong and church fellowship
Father, thank you for the many people who attended Evensong in March; and for fellowship with members of The Bridge Church. Please guide us as we work to reach out to our community, bringing your love and guidance to people facing troubled and uncertain times.
